Eating Chichaworms from Bohol!
Chichaworms are packaged as “exotic” treats for tourists in travel destinations.
Crunchy treats that are cultured “Super Worms” that have been fed with organic food like fresh fruits and vegetables and then flavored with sugar, salt and chili powder. It is rich in protein!
The name is a play on the word chicharon, which are Filipino-style crispy pork rinds (not to be confused with chicharrónes, which are Latin-American pork cracklings).

It taste like fried green peas with a slight fishy after taste. It retails for about 50 Philippine Pesos per regular pack. Bought mine from Laya, Baclayon, Bohol, Tagbilaran East Road, Baclayon, Bohol, Python Sanctuary. Which is a part of the day tour attraction from Day 1 of my Bohol trip.
